The best pan fried buns! We're so glad they opened this branch in Rowland Heights. It's so much closer so we can come more often! They have a lot of variety of dishes but these are our favorite. They have a generous amount of meat and so much soup inside. Be careful because it's nice and hot !

4.5 out 5 solid Changsha / Hunan cuisine. All dishes were tasty but nothing really stood out. We ordered the bullfrog and chicken pot - it was tasty but lacked some flavors. The stinky tofu was surprisingly as close as it gets to the ones I’d get in the streets of Changsha. The decor was really reminiscent of old Changsha streets and was the highlight.

UPDATE: they closed on Nov 3rd permanently I'm actually so sad because I loved this place so bad. I'd go here ever Sunday and get bingfen. Thankfully they're opening in Irvine and have other locations but I really loved it over here. The waiter was always so nice to us as well - food was delicious! I recommend getting their desserts. They gave us a complimentary drink and the waiter was SO FAST. we didn't even have to speak and he already took care of everything for us. would come back!

Love the stir fried perilla bullfrog and stone-cooked tasty pebble crispy glass carp. I am not a big fan of the purple yam and cheese buns. But my friends like it. The food were made quickly and the service was good.

Food tasted great, especially the Thai basil pan fried frog legs (much better than the mala spicy hot pot)! Our only complaint? Pathetically tiny bowls of $$$ rice. Who can eat spicy food without rice? The food isn't cheap by all means, nor is the rice. Why does it not come with a larger bowl of rice or free refills?

First time for us experiencing Changsha cuisine (a sub-part of Hunan cuisine, known for dishes even spicier than Szechuan cuisine). We tried several of its signature dishes such as tiny mini pan fried pork buns, pan fried buns with cream cheese (slightly sweet), river-stone boiling wagyu beef, and three side dishes. All were uniquely different than Hunan dishes we were familiar with and all were fresh and tasty. The cold dish of cucumbers with garlic and peanuts were so fresh and good. Note: we asked for no hot chili for our dishes, and I’m sure the food would’ve been even better if we had them prepared with hot chili. Also, the service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend everyone to try this unique cuisine, especially for those who like very spicy food.
